2026 Golden Globe Nominations Announced
Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Dwayne Johnson, Ashley Walters And Kevin Hart Receiving First Golden Globe Nominations
The 2026 Golden Globe nominations were announced with several major firsts across film and television. Tessa Thompson, Michael B. Jordan, and Dwayne Johnson received their first nominations in the drama categories, with Jordan earning the first Golden Globe nomination of his career for Sinners, Thompson for Hedda, and Johnson for The Smashing Machine. In Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another) scored her first nomination, alongside Cynthia Erivo. Teyana Taylor also earned her first-ever nomination for her supporting role in One Battle After Another.
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners dominated with nominations for Best Director, Best Screenplay, and and the film is also nominated for Best Original Score (Ludwig Göransson).
On the TV side, Ashley Walters picked up his first nomination for Adolescence, joining Tramell Tillman (Severance), Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), and Rashida Jones (Black Mirror).
Kevin Hart earned the first Golden Globe nomination of his career for his stand-up special Acting My Age, and Abbott Elementary returned with another series nomination.
