Blake Martin’s Independent Series 'Sunday Evenings' Surpasses 50,000 Digital Views And Audience Impressions Within Its First Month
Independent creator Blake Martin continues to build momentum with his breakout drama series Sunday Evenings, which has surpassed 50,000 digital views and audience impressions within its first month of release—just four episodes into its debut season.
Written and directed by rising powerhouse filmmaker Blake Martin and executive produced by acclaimed actress and producer Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Sunday Evenings was the flagship project launching Chicago-bred production company CynCity Productions in partnership with Martin’s 3rd Week of January Productions. As the series’ creator and visionary, Martin has shaped the show’s emotional tone and narrative voice from inception, while McWilliams brings seasoned industry insight and executive leadership as the project expands its footprint. The series has quickly grown beyond a local release, attracting national and international viewers and building a steadily expanding audience.

Starring Kenneth A. Richardson and Inglish India Washington, Sunday Evenings follows a married couple who co-host the #1 relationship podcast in the market while quietly navigating the unraveling of their own marriage. Blending sharp humor with emotional volatility, the series explores ambition, ego, vulnerability, and the tension between public image and private truth in the age of digital validation.
The momentum extends well beyond digital streaming. After a premiere that drew more than 300 attendees and more than 15 live screenings across Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, Mexico, and Dubai, Sunday Evenings has solidified itself as a crowd favorite—consistently filling rooms and attracting repeat audiences. Thousands now tune in weekly, turning Sunday nights into an appointment-viewing ritual for viewers deeply invested in the couple’s unraveling.
“Sunday Evenings was never supposed to be this big. It was me betting on myself—taking an idea and putting it into motion. I never imagined it would grow into what it has become or unlock the doors it has unlocked. To every filmmaker sitting on a dream—stop waiting. Stop shrinking. The world isn’t waiting to reject you; it’s waiting to embrace you. It’s your time to fly,” says Martin.
What began as an independent passion project has evolved into a growing cultural conversation—one that continues to expand episode by episode.
Don’t be late to the moment.
