BlkScript Partners With FilmWorks Global To Expand Distribution Opportunities For Existing And Independent Creators

BlkScript (TheBlkScript, LLC) has officially announced a strategic partnership with FilmWorks Global, bringing full distribution capabilities to the BlkScript platform for films, television series, documentaries, and episodic content. The partnership creates a unified pathway for both established and emerging creatives to develop, distribute, and amplify their work on both a national and global scale.

Together, BlkScript and FilmWorks Global share a mission to close longstanding industry gaps, challenge traditional gatekeeping, and establish new standards that create meaningful opportunities for underrepresented and independent storytellers.

Founded in 2023 by Kevin Marable, BlkScript was built as a media platform dedicated to spotlighting Black creatives and providing access to the film and television industry. The company’s leadership team includes Jessica Mifflin, who oversees public relations and Talent Acquisitions, Dominique Young as Principal Writer, and Fisher Reaves, who recently joined as a Contributing Writer.

FilmWorks Global enters the partnership with a global distribution and production infrastructure designed to connect creators with audiences worldwide. Founded by filmmakers for filmmakers, the company has established partnerships across the United States, Canada, the U.K., Australia, and the Caribbean, positioning itself as a bridge between independent creators and mainstream markets.

Danielle Simon, show creator, writer, director, and executive producer, known for Bounce’s original sitcom, ‘Mind Ya Business,’ serves as Head of Distribution for FilmWorks Global. Her leadership centers on access, collaboration, and creator readiness.

Simon is joined by a seasoned leadership team that includes Jason B. Ryan, Head of Development, an award-winning producer, writer, and director with nearly two decades of experience across scripted and unscripted content, and Reesha L. Archibald, Head of Acquisitions & Partnerships, an accomplished executive producer whose credits include Johnson and Finding Happy. Together, the team oversees development, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships that connect creators with global platforms.

In addition to distribution, FilmWorks Global is launching its first slate of films and episodic projects through FilmWorks Studios, collaborating with independent production companies to develop high-quality, market-ready content while introducing new writers, actors, directors, and producers to the global stage.
