It looks like ‘The Chaperones’ are getting some new company. Danielle Deadwyler has joined the cast of the upcoming A24 drama led by David Jonsson, Cooper Hoffman, and Paul Dano.
She joins the trio alongside additional cast members Billy Barratt, Alfred Molina, Tim Meadows, and Dolly De Leon.
‘The Chaperones’ follows a drug dealer (Dano) who is hired to transport a troubled teen (Barratt) across the country with the help from his partners. Hoffman plays one of the aggressive chaperones, while Jonsson serves as his reluctant accomplice in the operation. Deadwyler portrays Jonsson’s sister, and Molina rounds out the ensemble as Hoffman’s sketchy boss.
India Donaldson is directing from a script by Sebastian Black. The feature is being produced by Plan B and Icki Eneo Arlo.
