Golden Globe Award winner Idris Elba is gearing up to direct and star in ‘This Is How It Goes,’ a new psychological thriller for Apple Original Films.
The film is an adaptation of Neil LaBute’s play of the same name and tells the story of a couple who randomly reconnects with an old school acquaintance and offers to take him in. For Elba, this marks a full circle moment as he previously played the character Cody in the 2005 West End production and will now take on a different role in the film.
‘This is How it Goes’ also launches a new partnership between 22Summers (co-founded by Elba, Diene Petterle, and Gina Carter) and Gaumont, which is producing the film for Apple Original Films. Nathaniel Price is writing the screenplay.
