Gotham Award winner Jayme Lawson stars in Savannah Braswell’s new short film ‘Supper,’ premiering at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival in March.
The film follows a Black woman named Aleena (Lawson) as she struggles with her racial identity and how it fits into the world around her. When an obsessive man named Ivan confronts her in her home, she is forced into a terrifying hostage situation that unveils the disturbing intimacy between obsession and connection, while blurring the boundaries between performance, consumption, and the need to be seen.
