Keith David and Rob Lowe are joining forces for Ash Avildsen’s upcoming dark comedy, ‘My New Friend Jim.’
The film is set in Reno and follows two fathers from completely different walks of life who are hilariously united by the shared mission of finding a runaway daughter. What begins as a chaotic search turns into a heartfelt story about the lengths fathers will go for their kids.
Director Ash Avildsen shared his excitement about the casting, saying, “I couldn’t be more thrilled with how Rob and Keith are bringing these two men, who are worlds apart but hilariously bound by circumstance, to life on screen.”
Anthony Mastromauro, Avildsen, and Brad LaFave are co-producing the project, with Paul Leighton, Angelene Tania Grode, and Lowe serving as executive producers. ‘My New Friend Jim’ is currently in production in Nevada.
