NBC is developing another project with Malcolm D. Lee through his Blackmaled Productions: a series based on Ellen Won Steil’s novel Becoming Marlow Fin. Steil will serve as an executive producer on the adaptation.
The drama unfolds during a high-stakes televised interview with global icon Marlow Fin, who uses the broadcast to reveal long-hidden parts of her life. As she recounts the events surrounding her sister’s disappearance, Marlow publicly fights to clear her name, having become the prime suspect in the unresolved case.
Des Moran (Tiny, Beautiful Things, Bel-Air) is writing and executive producing the series, with Lee directing and executive producing. Additional executive producers include Dominque Telson and Michael Scott Allen. The project is set up at Universal Television.
