Michael B. Jordan Receives Outstanding Performer Of The Year Award At The 41st SBIFF, Presented By ‘Sinners’ Co-Star Delroy Lindo
Last night, Michael B. Jordan received a warm welcome from fans and industry peers at the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), where he was honored with the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award for his dual role in ‘Sinners.’
The first-time Academy Award nominee walked the red carpet alongside his mother, Donna Jordan, and was later presented with the prestigious honor by ‘Sinners’ co-star and fellow first-time Oscar nominee Delroy Lindo.
Speaking before presenting the award, Lindo reflected on Jordan’s transformative and paradigm-shifting performance, saying: “Sinners, the twins, and learning in the Q&As and press conferences as I listened to Mike deconstruct how he put Smoke and Stack together. The culmination of all of this is such a monumental achievement that this young man is manifesting right in front of our eyes. I am proud to call you a colleague and friend, proud that I’m working at the same moment in time that you’re working, and it gives me huge pleasure to present to Michael B. Jordan this award for Outstanding Performer of the Year.”
During his acceptance speech, Jordan expressed gratitude to his fans and supporters, sharing that all the love and encouragement has “made me full.”
From all of us at TheBlkScript, congratulations to Michael B. Jordan on this incredible honor!
