What happened to all the Black girls and women reported missing in the city? This haunting question sits at the heart of Okirike I. Okirike’s upcoming thriller ‘Vanished,’ a story about a relentless, adrenaline-fueled search for the truth buried in a gruesome bed of lies.
When medical assistant Shavon (Shaquita Smith) makes a shocking discovery of a woman’s body at the surgery center where she works, she sounds the alarm to her friends (Nadia Adelay and Erick Pinkett) and family, thrusting her life into chaos. But when Dr. Taylor (Oshea Russell) warns her that she’s in way over her head—and her mother (Princess Elmore) pleads with her to end the investigation for her own safety—Shavon is torn between fear and truth. Will her bravery uncover the dark secret hidden inside the clinic, or will she be plunged into a harrowing spiral of betrayal, lies, and murder?
‘Vanished’ was written and executive produced by Audra Nicole and directed by Okirike I. Okirike. The film was produced by MegaMind Media, the studio behind several hit thrillers and dramas on Tubi. It premieres January 28 exclusively on Tubi.
