Hidden Gem Entertainment and Silver Lining Entertainment have officially completed filming on The Soul Mate Experiment, a fresh romantic comedy led by Erica Peeples, Brad James, David Banner, Teresa Celeste, and Cocoa Brown. The project is produced by Angela White and written and directed by Tamera Hill, who also serves as an executive producer.
The film follows Tammy (Peeples) and Vincent (James), two strangers who decide to bypass the typical dating routine and intentionally fall in love through a bold social challenge. Their experiment quickly transforms into a journey full of humor, emotional breakthroughs, and unexpected lessons about vulnerability and real connection. Running parallel to their story is the marriage of Trey (Banner) and Angie (Celeste), a couple facing hard truths as they hit their fifth anniversary. Together, both relationships explore how love can evolve when honesty and growth are pushed to the forefront.
Tamera Hill, known for Never Heard and the forthcoming The Secret Between Us, continues to build her storytelling legacy with films centered on heart, humor, and authenticity. She describes the new project as a soulful exploration of whether love is something we choose or something that chooses us.
Producer Angela White—whose extensive filmography includes more than forty-five titles—adds The Soul Mate Experiment to a busy slate that also features upcoming Lifetime premieres Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love and Friends and Lovers. White highlights the collaboration as a meaningful partnership rooted in representation and shared creative purpose.
With additional performances from Rodney Perry, Tre Ryan, Keith Arthur Bolden, and Y’Anna Crawley, The Soul Mate Experiment is set to debut February 2026, just in time for Valentine’s season.
