Questlove Wins Critics Choice Documentary Award For ‘Sly Lives! (Aka The Burden Of Black Genius)’

Congratulations to Questlove, who took home the Critics Choice Award for Best Music Documentary for ‘Sly Lives! (aka The Burden of Black Genius)’ at the 10th Annual Critics Choice Documentary Awards, held last night in New York City.

The film explores Sly Stone’s meteoric rise to fame in the 1960s and ‘70s, and his eventual withdrawal from the spotlight due to the burdens often confronting pioneering Black artists.
