Regé-Jean Page is returning to Netflix, this time as both star and executive producer of the upcoming erotic thriller series Hancock Park. The project, created by Industry writer Matthew Barry and produced with Drew Comins’ Creative Engine and Fifth Season, reportedly sparked a fierce bidding war before landing at Netflix with a fast-tracked script-to-series order.
Named after the historic Los Angeles neighborhood, Hancock Park centers on a magnetic yet mysterious outsider—played by Page—who rents a guest house behind a polished, wealthy family’s home. As he becomes entangled in their lives, the cracks in their pristine world begin to show, revealing hidden desire, manipulation, and the darker side of L.A.’s elite community.
Barry writes and executive produces alongside Page and his producing partner Emily Brown under their A Mighty Stranger banner, with Comins also on board. Fifth Season serves as the studio.
Page’s return to series television comes after a string of high-profile film roles, including The Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, and Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag. He also leads Universal’s upcoming romantic comedy You, Me & Tuscany opposite Halle Bailey, arriving this April. Through A Mighty Stranger, Page and Brown are also developing a new Count of Monte Cristo adaptation and the TV series Funny You Should Ask.
Barry, known for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and the BAFTA Cymru–winning TV movie Men Up, continues expanding his slate of prestige projects. Comins, a two-time Emmy nominee for Yellowjackets, is also producing Dangerous Liaisons, They Both Die at the End, and Covers, along with additional projects in development at HBO and Apple TV.
Hancock Park is now moving through development at Netflix, with more updates expected soon.
