Ryan Coogler will be honored with the Outstanding Director of the Year Award at the 41st Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) on February 10 at the Arlington Theatre.
Coogler is being recognized for his critically acclaimed film ‘Sinners,’ which has made Academy Award history this season with 16 nominations.
SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling said of Coogler and his fellow honorees, “At a time when audiences are craving bold voices, these directors have delivered films that challenge, inspire, and elevate cinema. We are honored to celebrate their achievements.”
