Danielle Deadwyler is heading to campus in the new comedy series ‘Rooster,’ premiering March 8 on HBO Max. She stars alongside Steve Carell, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley, Lauren Tsai, Charly Clive, and more in a hilarious and heartfelt father-daughter story.
Set on a college campus, the series centers on an author known as Rooster (Carell) and his complicated relationship with his daughter, a college professor (Clive). Tensions escalate when her husband and fellow professor (Dunster) leaves her for a graduate student (Tsai), throwing campus life—and their family—into chaos. Danielle Deadwyler plays an academic moderator caught in the middle when Rooster arrives on campus to promote his new book.
