Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s latest novel, The Accomplice, is heading to television with Peacock developing the thriller into a series. The book, co-written with Aaron Philip Clark and released last month, marks another major move for Jackson’s G-Unit Films and Television.
Taraji P. Henson is set to headline the project as Nia Adams, a relentless Texas Ranger pursuing master thief Desmond Bell. Her mission takes a dangerous turn when she uncovers a powerful conspiracy that challenges her loyalty to the justice system she represents.
The series is being produced by UCP, G-Unit Films and Television, and Henson’s TPH Entertainment, with both Jackson and Henson serving as executive producers. A writer has yet to be announced.
This project adds to Henson’s expanding slate, following her first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios and her ongoing partnership with Netflix for two upcoming films.
Meanwhile, Jackson continues to dominate television production with multiple ventures in the works, including Fightland at Starz, Hip Hop Cop at Hulu, and a Netflix docuseries centered on Sean “Diddy” Combs.
