Netflix has officially announced that His & Hers, a limited series adaptation of Alice Feeney’s bestselling novel, will premiere on Thursday, January 8. The psychological thriller stars Tessa Thompson, who also serves as executive producer, alongside Jon Bernthal.
Set in the heat of Atlanta, the story follows Anna (Thompson), a former news anchor living in isolation after a personal downfall. When she hears about a shocking murder in her hometown of Dahlonega, she’s drawn back into the world she left behind. Her pursuit of the truth puts her directly in the path of Detective Jack Harper (Bernthal), whose growing suspicions blur the line between hunter and hunted. In His & Hers, every version of the truth comes with its own deception.
The series also features Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Marin Ireland, and Poppy Liu.
His & Hers comes from creators William Oldroyd (Eileen, Lady Macbeth), Dee Johnson (Fellow Travelers, The Good Wife), and Bill Dubuque, who all serve as writers and executive producers. Oldroyd and Johnson share showrunning duties, with additional executive producers Kristen Campo, Jessica Chastain, Kelly Carmichael, and Kishori Rajan. The series is produced by Fifth Season.
