This year, The Reel Black Film Fest is bringing powerful films to the historic 18th & Vine District. From the premiere of Kansas City PBS’ ‘Aunt Sister: The Legacy of Sarah Rector’ to a curation of stories of healing, justice and the enduring strength of Black legacy, to a special screening of ‘The Heroic True-Life Adventures of Alvin Brooks’ by Academy Award® winner Kevin Willmott, this is a weekend of stories you won’t want to miss.
Beyond the films, attendees can enjoy a members-only opening reception, Black-owned marketplace, filmmaker lounge, closing reception, and the announcement of our Grand Jury and Audience Choice awards.

Tickets will be publicly available on Monday, Jan. 19 (Kansas City PBS Members get early access) and the schedule will be announced on Friday, Jan. 30.
