Tony-winner Myles Frost has been tapped to star in Arena Stage’s upcoming reimagining of Pal Joey, Chez Joey, in 2026! The MJ the Musical alum and Maryland-native returns home to the DC area for the upcoming production.
Myles Frost, who became the youngest solo actor to ever win a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his breakout role as Michael Jackson, will be heading back to the stage.
Debuting at Arena Stage’s Kreeger Theater from January 30 to March 15, Chez Joey reinvents the classic Pal Joey with a fresh script by Oscar-nominated writer Richard LaGravenese and a score pulled from the iconic Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart catalog. The production is co-directed by Tony winner Savion Glover and actor-director Tony Goldwyn, with Glover also handling choreography.
Set in 1940s Chicago, the story centers on a charismatic nightclub entertainer juggling the attention of an ambitious chorus girl and a powerful socialite whose support comes with strings attached.
Audiences can expect beloved standards like “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “The Lady Is a Tramp,” along with other timeless Rodgers and Hart favorites.
Additional cast and creative announcements are still to come.
