Peacock has officially renewed Twisted Metal for a third season, with Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz once again leading the chaotic, high-octane ride. Mackie’s fast-talking courier, John Doe, and Beatriz’s fearless car thief, Quiet, remain at the heart of the series as they navigate a violent wasteland filled with unhinged road warriors and the unpredictable Sweet Tooth.
The show continues to be one of Peacock’s standout performers, with Season 2 nearly hitting one billion minutes streamed.
Joining the new chapter is David Reed (The Boys, Supernatural), who steps in as showrunner following Michael Jonathan Smith’s exit. Reed brings a strong background in genre storytelling and will guide the series as it ramps up for its next round of mayhem.
Reed joins a producing team that includes Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Will Arnett, Marc Forman, Mackie, Jason Spire, Peter Principato, and PlayStation and Sony executives. With Mackie and Beatriz at the forefront, Twisted Metal is set to charge full-speed into Season 3.
