Wanda Sykes And Bentley Green Star In Tamika Miller’s Boxing Drama ‘Undercard,’ In Theaters Feb. 27
Emmy Award winner Wanda Sykes makes her dramatic acting debut in ‘Undercard,’ co-starring Bentley Green in a heartfelt story about the battles people fight both in and out of the ring.
Sykes portrays Cheryl “No Mercy” Stewart, a former boxing champion in recovery from alcohol abuse who attempts to reconnect with her estranged 21-year-old son, Keith (Green). Their initial reunion is tense, as they fight to heal their relationship while helping Keith’s boxing career get back on track.
The film also stars William Stanford Davis, Xavier Mills, Estella Kahiha, Roselyn Sánchez, and Berto Colón.
‘Undercard’ is co-written by Miller and Anita M. Cal, with Miller also directing. The movie premiered at the 2025 Newport Beach Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best U.S. Narrative Feature. It opens in theaters February 27. Watch the trailer on YouTube now.
